Well, my last week in East Bank started today. Actually, I won’t even be spending the entire week here; I’ll probably say goodbye Thursday.
The packing is going slowly, but it’s going. It goes in spurts at random times. I was mildly freaking out that I had too much stuff to pack, but I’ve gotten a bunch of the larger stuff out of the way, and really, it’s not that bad.
Jeannette is already mostly out of the apartment. She up and moved out suddenly about two weeks ago, not telling either me nor Holly. Actually, I have a bunch of boxes sitting in her room, becuase it A) clears them out of my room and B) will make them getting down the stairs easier. She dropped by today to pick up some odds and ends, mainly her kitchen stuff.
I know I’ve mentioned moving back home. I honestly can’t wait. I’ll be able to see my cats, my family…I’ll actually be able to see people other than Lowe’s customers. The good news is that I was able to transfer stores, so I’ll be going to another Lowe’s job back home. I think I’m working return desk again (not exactly my favorite place in the world) but it’s a job (Amazon was a job, too, but there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell I’d go back to that).
The itty bitty junk room I’m moving into has exploded. It’s finally cleaned out, but my parents have discovered some wtaer damage they thought they had cleaned up almost a decade ago was worse than they realized. Apparently, new studs and insulation need to be put in, and my dad also wants to put up some paneling to cover somesort of hole. This is waaaay beyond the initial clean-and-paint I had imagined, but my mom says the water damage would have had to been done anyways, and since the room was an add-on to the house, it would have been utterly miserable in the winter.
One of the things I have blogged most about on this blog is my finding of various Anthropologie items in my local Gaberial Brothers. These finds are nowhere near as exciting as my quilt was, but amazing bargains: two european shams (Windermere pattern, one in black, the other green), and two bedskirts (one in Allesandra, the other in Windermere, black pattern). The bedskirts don’t fit, and I’m going to have to pay a bundle to get a european sized pillow, but I only paid a freaking dollar for EACH item. Yeah. Bedskirts that originally cost $125+ were purchased for $.99. At worst, I’ll use the fabric for crafts, more than likely find a way to A) make it fit my bed or B) use it when I actually get a bed that size.
Well, off to hopefully finish my packing.

If it’s any consolation, the neighbors didn’t like the new boyfriend either. BJ’s in the driveway during daylight with said boyfriend leaning against the car will do that.
Good luck.
